Programs last 1 hour and take place at the Zoo exhibit. Fees: $5 ($4 for N.C. Zoo Society members) and class size is limited to 10. Admission to the Zoo is not included in program fees. Registration begins on April 16, 2007 and closes the Friday before a scheduled program. You can begin the registration process by giving us information over the phone or by E-mail, but your registration is not valid until we receove payment for the program. Payment is due one week after registration. Please send checks payable to the N.C. Zoo Summer Camps, 4401 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro NC, 27205. Please include your child’s name and “June Bugs” in the memo line on your check. Animal CoveringsStory: Animals Definitely Shouldn’t Wear ClothingDate: Tuesday, July 10 Meet us at the African Pavilion. We’ll tune up our eyes, ears, noses and hands to explore the coverings different animals wear while we solve the mystery of why they shouldn’t wear clothes. Watching for WingsStory: Waiting for WingsDate: Tuesday, July 10 Join us at the kidZone’s Butterfly Garden to take a peak into the private lives of the Zoo’s garden butterflies. Wetland WondersStory: Near One CattailDate: Tuesday, July 31 Wait for us under the North American entry Bridge - on our little wetland boardwalk. A dip-and-see adventure with animals that live in the marsh. Arctic AdventureStory: Far North in the Arctic - Counting Alaska's AnimalsDate: Tuesday, July 31 Come to the underground Polar Bear viewing area to cool off with these cool creatures. A jolly look at the Arctic’s animals and how the bears stay warm in cold water. |
