Zoo Camps 2007

You bring your lunch and we'll bring the fun!

All camps start at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. unless campers sleepover at the Zoo.

Camp Fees

1-day *               $30  ($25 for N.C. Zoo employees and Society members)

3-days                $80  ($70 for N.C. Zoo employees and Society members)

3-day&1-night   $110 ($90 for Zoo employees and Society members)


* Children who attend three or more day camps receive a $5 discount on each camp.

Registration

Registrations open on April 9, 2007. To register a camper, parents must complete our registration and health forms (download here) and mail them, with a $25 non-refundable deposit (check or money order) to: N.C. Zoo Summer Camps; 4401 Zoo Parkway; Asheboro, NC 27205. (Sorry, we do not accept E-mail or phone registrations.)

Camps fill up quickly, so register now. We process applications and deposits daily and send confirmation letters or E-mails when campers are accepted. Full payment for a camp is due one week before the camp begins and completes the registration process. (We do not refund final payments on or after a camp begins.)

When a camp fills, we close its registration. Applications for a closed camp are returned along with deposit checks or money orders. We create a waiting list with the names of overflow campers and will contact their parents if space becomes available.

Logistics

   Food: Campers bring their own lunches (Please, no food that requires refrigeration or heating). We provide a small morning snack.

   Pick Up and Drop Off: Children may enter the Stedman Education Building after 8:50 a.m.  Pick up day campers  promptly at 2 p.m., over-night campers, at 9 a.m.

   What to Bring: Campers need to dress for the weather. A prepared camper should arrive  with a backpack, some sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle and lunch. (Money, valuables and toys should stay at home.)

T-Shirts

Campers can pre-order a Camp T-shirt for $8 (See registration-form). We will also sell these shirts at the Day Camps, but the cost on Camp Day is $10.
