NC Zoo's 2013 Veterinary Camps
Explore the Dream of Becoming a Zoo Veterinarian
The North Carolina Zoo’s veterinary staff leads camp sessions, most of which take place in the Zoo’s Fredric Moir Hanes Veterinary Center.
All Campers use the Center’s treatment rooms, X-ray and lab facilities during hands-on experiences with endoscopes, microscopes and other equipment.Campers learn to safely handle several species of animals and to give physical exams and bandage dogs.

Scholarship Information
A small number of scholarships are available for foster children, the children of Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans and children in families with low incomes. The amount of the scholarship is based on financial need. To apply, download the

* The tuition fee provides a Zoo Society family membership to a camper's family.
