Go backstage with us to become a partner in the Zoo’s work to protect wildlife. This Backstage Pass takes you behind the scenes with the Gorilla keepers to learn how they care for the Gorillas and to toss some treats into the troop. Children 16 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Backstage pass holders should be at least eight years old and must be at lease 5 feet tall to feed the gorillas. The height requirement is based on issues of safety. This height is required for a person to be tall enough to see over the barrier separating them from the gorillas. Individuals who do not meet this height requirement may attend this program. They will be able to see the gorillas fed, meet the keepers and watch a gorilla training session.
Gorilla Backstage Passes are available to Zoo Society Members for a donation of $79 per person. Non-Society Members may obtain Gorilla Backstage Passes for $89 per person. All, or nearly all of this donation is tax deductible as a gift to to the NC Zoo Society, a private non-profit.
