Adopt an Animal

Pick your favorite animal from the list of 15 N.C. Zoo animals below (critters that range from polar bears to tree frogs and hairy to scaly. ) Adopt it yourself, or give a gift of caring to someone special.  Either way, take pride in knowing that your adoption helps the Zoo care for its animals, teach about wildlife and conservation and protect wild animals at the Zoo!  Please note: Members' discounts are not available for Wild Child adoptions.

No need to find bed and board for your Wild Child.  It stays at the Zoo where professional staff will keep it healthy and happy.  Come see it often, though.  Once you become a wild parent, a Zoo visit becomes even more fun!

Best of all, your donation supports the Zoo's animal enrichment program by providing toys and healthy treats to the animals and by offering training opportunities to the keepers to help them become even better at providing for the psychological well being of the Zoo's animals.
