 N.C. Zoo Society members enjoy FREE admission to the N.C. Zoo 364 days a year. (The
Zoo is open every day but Christmas Day.) And, members gain free or discounted admission to more than 150 zoos and aquariums across America--including three North Carolina aquariums. Click here to see the full list.
Enter the N.C. Zoo quickly and easily through our Members-only,
Express Entry Ticket Booths -- always on the far left when you face
either entrance to the Zoo. Members who pay with a credit card and join over the Internet become instant members.
They can use a print out of their e-mail receipt and a picture identification card to visit the Zoo as a member by showing both to the person working in either of the Zoo Society's members-only,
express entry ticket booths. These booths are on the far left when you face either entrance to the Zoo. Members also receive four copies a year of the Society's full-color magazine, Alive,
to stay you up to date on special events and member programs. We invite members to Wake Up with the Animals, our annual spring celebration for our members.
Members with a passion for gardening or care deeply about wildlife and nature, can consider joining our Secret Garden or Conservation membership. These options support Zoo field conservation programs
and help provide educational and recreational opportunities that make
the Zoo more fun and educational for everyone.

- $175 Zookeeper* ($167 tax deduction) Family Benefits, a Zoo Society license plate and member can bring two guests into the N.C. Zoo free on each visit (Guest admission is limited to the N.C. Zoo.)
- $300 Curator* ($284 tax deduction) Zookeeper Benefits plus one more guest per visit. (Guest admission is limited to the N.C. Zoo.)
