Support the Zoo’s Most Pressing Needs
The Zoo’s third continent, Asia, is approaching completion—it is slated to open in 2026–and the Zoo staff is busy developing master plans for two new continental regions—Australia and South America, and a $60 million aviary to replace the retired R.J. Reynolds Tropical Aviary. Meanwhile, staff also has to take care of business as usual—ensuring the well-being of animals, staff, and guests, and maintaining its national and international conservation programs.
The scale of these tasks demonstrates how deeply the Zoo depends on its relationships with experts and benefactors in both the public and private sectors. It takes support from government officials, business leaders, scientists, teachers, lifelong learners, and donors, large and small, to keep the Zoo growing and serving the public. Every guest, member, and donor helps the Zoo twice: by providing financial backing and fueling public support with their involvement.
To help ensure the success of the Zoo’s conservation, educational, and research efforts, please donate to fund the Zoo’s most pressing needs. You can give knowing that the Zoo will honor your generosity by investing your donation where it will accomplish the most good for wildlife and the Zoo’s educational and recreational services.
NEW! Now you have the option to make your donation to the Zoo Society’s General Fund a recurring donation. If you’d like to give the same amount each month to support the Zoo, please select the appropriate box during the checkout process—your credit card will be automatically charged the same amount each month.
