Help Save the American Red Wolf

Some 50 top zoos and the United States Fish & Wildlife Service have managed this recovery, eventually breeding enough wolves for the Wildlife Service to begin returning them to a small portion of the Wolf's former range.<br/>
The North Carolina Zoo has been a chief contributor to these breeding efforts, housing the second-largest breeding group of these animals. North Carolina is also the only place where Red Wolves roam free.<br/>
To keep this recovery moving forward and ensure the population’s genetic diversity, the program must add 100 animals to the total population. This will allow the Service to start a second wild recovery site for the wolves. Meeting that need requires building additional breeding facilities to house the wolves.
Your gift will help the Zoo build five new breeding places for these wolves.
